✦ Riso prints of my interpretation of the river nymph Hafren (also named Habren, Sabrina, Sabre, Sabren) and her mythology around the River Severn. A princess born from an affair between King Locrin and his secret lover Estrildis, Hafren and her mother were drowned in the river by the spiteful Queen Gwendolen. In some renditions, Hafren was reborn as the very spirit of the River Severn, oftentimes depicted as a nymph.

✦ An A4 size (210mm x 297mm) Riso print using Aqua, Fluorescent Pink, Yellow, and Black inks on Tree Free 200gsm paper.

✦ Risograph (Riso) is an imperfect process created by layering different coloured inks to print vivid artwork that cannot be replicated with digital printing. As this type of printing uses overlapping layers of coloured inks, there may be some slight misalignments and little marks from the printer. This is the unique charm of Riso that makes every single print special. I double check each print before it's mailed out to ensure good quality.
